2013: Year of the Volunteer?

Help make 2013 the Year of the Volunteer in Mississippi!

Mississippians’ hospitality is world-renowned, as is their humility. Volunteerism is an open secret in Mississippi: it’s everywhere, but few people talk about the small and large acts of kindness they offer to the world around them.

Volunteer Mississippi (formerly the MS Commission for Volunteer Service) invites you to join with the First Family, Vol Mississippi’s commissioners, staff, national service members and other Mississippians across the state in acts of service and charity throughout the year. Your actions have greater influence than you know, including inspiring others to rise in service to their communities.  Download the pledge, and add your pledge photos, videos or posts on Volunteer Mississippi’s Facebook wall.

Set a goal, take the pledge, and then share your experiences on Facebook.
