Hopefully this afternoon you received an email asking you to vote by 12/15/12 on the proposed changes to the Standing Rules. Here’s the text of that email, in case you missed it:

DOVIA members have the opportunity to vote on changes to the Standing Rules. The proposed changes are in *BOLD and ALL-CAPS* below:

1. ELECTION OF OFFICERS
The officers shall be elected from and by the Membership present at the December meeting *OR BY ELECTRONIC VOTE TO THE ENTIRE MEMBERSHIP. NOMINATIONS AND ELECTIONS MAY BE CONDUCTED ELECTRONICALLY WITH 14-DAYS’ NOTICE. OFFICERS* shall take office at the January meeting.
